LA BASTIDE DE LAURENCE — WEDDING

A World Curated for Two

There is luxury in creating something that feels inevitable —— the kind of evening that arrives fully formed, as if it could only ever have been this way.

For a wedding at La Bastide de Laurence, we approached two days not as an event to execute, but as a brand world to inhabit. Not simply marking a moment, but building an experience that moved through space and time the way a considered idea moves through a discipline: with intention, with personality, with the quiet confidence of knowing exactly what it stands for.

The creativity began not with mood boards, but with two people's point of view. Their tastes. Their histories. The small, precise details that reveal character. And then the most important part: the discipline to translate those details into every surface, every flavour, every moment of movement through the space.

Mushrooms layered into floral displays, not as decoration, but as conversation. Sharing plates drawn from a menu that surprised before it made sense. Chairs chosen for their paired-back vintage restraint, arranged so the room felt both formal and lived-in. Each choice, an echo of the same sensibility.

A custom cathedral veil, ballet length, in the softest French ivory. Designed not only to complete the bride's silhouette, but to move with her. Effortlessly intentional by day, it fell with quiet grace; by evening, it transformed into a delicately draped overlay, carrying her seamlessly into the next chapter. (Lori Muldoon, designer.)

By Day Two: steak frites, Marlboros, moustaches, and garden games reflected in a salt-water pool. The chateau continued to speak the same language. Just with its jacket off.

The philosophy is simple: curation is not about excess. It is about the discipline to leave things untouched. To choose because it matters. To know exactly what two people stand for and have the taste to let that be enough.

Creativity doesn't live in perfection. It lives in that knowing.
